I've been pretty busy scrapping over the weekend! Finished my Circle Journal for Simmibear's swap on the scrapbooking memories forum. I quite like it!

So it's off to QLD today! Good luck little circle journal!! :)

I've been experiemnting with digital scrapbooking too. I've done 2 LOs so far...

I went out for lunch today - me, my mum, my step-dad, my brother and sister, Lilli and philli, and my natural grandmother and her sister. The food was absolutely delicious. The restraunt had over-ordered on their seafood, so they were selling it all cheap! Prawns, soft-shell crabs, oysters, scallops, barramundi fillets, calamari, smoked salmon, and all of it SO fresh!

I was so pleased for the lunch to end though. My natural grandmother can be a bit, well, tiring is one word for it...

Sitting out on my mum's back deck relaxing in the afternoon a storm started coming over. It just turned the sky black. As it often does, the storm split just south of us and went around, but not before I got this cool pic!

Phillip's starting to try and roll over too! He can't get that last little bit yet - his arm gets in the way and he doen't have quite enough momentum to get over. it's funny to watch him trying SO hard though! He ends up looking like a contortionist.....

Where did my tiny little baby go?

We have 2 new toy voyagers staying with us at the moment - Charity Bear and Benni. They're both very cute bears!

Mother's group on Tuesday was heaps of fun - we took some photos of the kids together. Phillip is enormous! He's the youngest kid in this photo, but one of the biggest! I think he's the longest... I don't have a child, I have a monster!

At playgroup we had an Easter egg hunt. It was Elizabeth's first hunt! As you can see by the photo her main priority was eating the eggs. LOLOLOL

Any tips on getting a 3 1/2 month old to sleep through the night?

Isn't she the cutest little girl??? :)

Phillip is really testing our patience - he's taken to waking a few times every night. He was at the stage of only waking once, and now he's waking at 11, 2, 5 and about 7:30. I want sleeeeeeep!

Poor Elizabeth fell over on the front driveway on Saturday. She did a very good job on her knees. Poor little girl cried for ages, and she still doesn't like anyone going near her knees...

Phillip got to use hi Jolly Jumper we got off freecycle the other day too. He absolutely LOVED it! We had to make sure he was as far away from the door as possible as he kept trying to bang into it...

I've also been a bit busy with scrapping stuff too. I've joined a swap on the SM forum for handmade birdie embelishments, so have been busy cutting felt for them...

I also joined a new forum that had a challenge for hybrid scrapping - so I did this picture of Justin - I love Photoshop! I converted the background to black and white and played with contrast and brightness so it didn't stand out as much. I also increased the saturation of the colour of Justin and added a brush around the edge.

Lazy day at home

I have had such a relaxing and lazy day today. I've done a bit of housework, done my felt animals for the handmade birdies swap on the Scrapbooking Memories forum.

I felt like a really bad housewife when I found an apple core Elizabeth had eaten a couple of days ago hiding in the loungeroom. It wasn't a pretty sight...

I need to sleeeeeeeeeeeeeep............

Tired...

What a bad few days...

Phillip hasn't been sleeping well at night. He's been screaming through the day. Elizabeth has been very contrary. And then she was very sick last night!

Phillip slept through last night so I feel human enough today to function!!! Very happy as I'm going to a girly lunch at my mum's place today, plus I'm going to spotlight to see if I can get some stuff for my circle journal and for my felt birdies.

Wouldn't mind sleeping all day though!

Finally catching up on House episodes!

Ahhhh, my love, my wonderfully grumpy, mean old drug addict Dr House! Because we've been going to trivia on Wednesdays I've been missing my weekly dose of House, and we now have 3 weeks of taped videos to watch.

It has been so long since we've watched an actual video that Matt had to re-connect it to the TV! And when we were fast forwarding the ads Elizabeth kept asking us what was wrong with the TV. She's so used to DVDs, and how easy it is to jump ahead, and the fast forwards are so smooth, without the lines and fuzziness of old tapes.

Speaking of DVDs, I wish Elizabeth would branch out a little more in her DVD tastes! I have seen Monsters Inc every day for over a week now, and today we watched The Wiggles Movie, not once, not twice, but THREE times!!!!!!!!!!! ARGH! I was so happy when she went to bed!

The day after...

Matt's party was last night! It went really quite well. I really thought that this time I had under catered, but once again we have HEAPS of food and drink left over. In the next few days we'll have plenty of potato salad and pasta salad and bread rolls and chicken wings and...........

It was a nice night. Matt cooked the BBQ (which ended up with some chicken being a bit underdone and some sausages a bit over done! LOL), and we had lots of yummy cake for dessert.

I logged onto the SBM forum just in time today to take part in a ready steady scrap. It was fun only having 15 minutes for preperation and 30 minutes to scrap! The requirements were: a pic of you and a friend, 6x12, big flower, paint, glitter or bling, buttons, plus pipecleaners and sculpey but I didn't have those...

I can't believe I couldn't find any pictures of me and my friends!!!! I had to settle for me and a "friend" from when we went on our big holiday last year - Ardrossan SA.

BBQ tomorrow

Matt's having his birthday BBQ tomorrow. Should be good! I have been boiling potatoes and pasta for salads this evening, and now I have to go shopping for the last bits and pieces.

It's been a pretty good day today. I saw a movie on TV that I've been wanting to see for a while - "Where The Heart Is". I've read the book, and finally got to watch the movie (with Elizabeth and Phillip interruptions! LOL).
I also got to finish the LO I started last night - in response to the SBM forum's March sketch challenge. It took a whole lot of time for the paint and dimensional magic to dry! Might be because I did 2 coats of paint and 2 coats of dimensional magic!!

I really should be doing housework and preparations for the BBQ tomorrow...

My day...

6:00am - Matt kisses me goodbye before heading off to work.

6:30am - Phillip needs a feed (ouch!), fall asleep feeding him.

8:00am - Wake Elizabeth up and giver breakky. She has a thing about getting her own bowl and spoon out. Yummy Fruity Bix this morning.

8:30am - Log onto the computer (of course!)

9:20am - Rush around getting ready - me dressed, Phillip changed and dressed, Elizabeth changed and dressed. Hair brushed, baby bag packed, keys, phone, etc. etc.

10:10am - Arrive at library late for "Baby Bounce". Elizabeth doesn't sing again, but repeats lots of the songs to me afterwards almost word-for-word. She's really a listener that girl!

10:30am - Hot chocolate with Mother's Group in the centre court at Westfield.

12:00midday - Head off to get photos processed at Big W for very insistant MIL (don't you love this letter we got - on the front of the envelope for Matt's birthday card no less!)

Of course the digital processing machines are out of order, so she'll have to wait a little while for the photos...

12:30pm - Subway for lunch. I go for the cheap option and get the salad only one. The Subway people were really stupid though - they just don't listen. He puts pepper and salt on my sub. Ew!

1:00pm - Spend a bit of time in Borders relaxing. Read For Keeps, and accidentally leave with it in the top of the stroller wehn we have to leave due to Phillip trying to scream the place down. I didn't notice until we were at the car and I felt guilty but wasn't going back!!

2:00pm - Breastfeeding Counselling. Not particularly helpful, she didn't tell me anything I didn't know already. Phillip decides to attach properly for the first time in a week while we were at the group! Of course!!!

4:30pm - Finally back home and put Elizabeth and Phillip down for a sleep. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh, peace at last - for about 10 minutes until Phillip wants a feed...

5:30 - Finished Matt's birthday present - JUST in time as his birthday's tomorrow!

Put the kangaroo roast in the oven and pick some yummy rosemary to put on the potatoes with garlic and salt - mmmm yummy!

6:45 - Cut tomatoes to fry for dinner, just before Matt gets home

7:00pm - Yummy dinner!

8:00pm - Put lice stuff in Lilli's hair (hopefully this'll be the last lot). Poor girl gets it in her eyes in the shower with Matt.

9:00pm - Make Matt's birthday card while he's doing the dishes - simple but it looks pretty cool.

10:00pm - Log onto my blog to write this looong post!

Present Shopping

I had fun today - we went present shopping for Matt's pressie. I can't believe he'll be 30 on Wednesday! How OLD are we getting??????? I FINALLY found the present I really wanted to get for him, plus a few little extras. I'm also making him a cute little something for him to take to work.

Wow, where did my life go? I'm 27, and I have a 30 year old hubby and 2 kids! It seems like only yesterday I was at high school and stressing about clothes, boys and classes. Trying to decide if I wanted to be a lawyer, actuary or a child-care teacher (of course I chose the child-care teacher, who wants to do 4 unit maths anyway?? LOL).

I really should be cleaning my house instead of putting an update of my life in here. I did do my scrapping area last night, and promptly messed it up again! But I have done 2 LOs and getting close to finishing the OTP project I'm doing for Matt's birthday.

Elizabeth didn't have a sleep today, so she's fast asleep already. And Phillip's just gone down too. I can breathe again. Refuel myself in time for another day tomorrow. A day of mother's group and baby bounce at the library, and breast-feeding counselling in the afternoon...

Elizabeth got the camera...

Well, My little girl thought it would be great fun playing with the digital camera. I think she'll be a GREAT photographer in time... LOL

Matt's dad came for a visit today. Grandpa Mal. Poor Lilli couldn't say Grandpa Mal, so he ended up being Grand Mouse!!!!

Phillip has been a real pain tonight - still having troubles with feeding (if anyone has a foolrpoof way of stoping a 3 month old from biting, feel free to let me know!), and he's very unsettled. I hope tomorrow's a lot better!

Hello World

Hello everyone!
I have seen so many of these blogs around, so thought I'd give it a go myself! I reckon I'll have to have a look around and see how everything works and then I can really get going.
